"I currently work part-time as an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutor for St.Helens Adult and Community Learning and in December 2018 I set up a community interest company called OLCOTWISH CIC (Our Little Corner of the World in St.Helens). By working with a group of asylum seekers and refugees we developed a community café that they could volunteer in, gain training and qualifications whilst meeting members of the local community and aiding integration. Café Laziz opened its doors to the public in September 2019 and was shortlisted for a Community Integration Award in December 2020”
